Campaign Design: Tour Del Taco

I rebranded and created all the collateral for the third iteration of Tour Del Taco, a social media campaign by District Bridges. The campaign supports Taco and Pupusa businesses in D.C. by gamifying taco-eating, with users making an account, earning points, and winning prizes based on how many tacos they buy throughout the month of Tour Del Taco. I created the principle graphics and graphic assets that defined the brand for the 2025 iteration of the event, and populated social media content for its promotion.

I started with illustration three taco “characters,” a personified taco, hot sauce bottle, and pepper. Other graphic assets included a star backdrop and a flag.

I then designed merch with the characters I’d illustrated, shot images with the merch, and created social graphics to promote the products:

The rest of the collateral I created was targeted as specific sub-goals within the campaign. Maps documented where taco restaurants could be found within specific neighborhoods. “Battle of the Taco” pitted taco businesses against one another in a March Madness style bracket, where players voted on their favorite tacos in D.C. “Have a Taco Give a Taco” fundraised for District Bridges’ meal distribution program, urging the audience to donate $5 to cover the meal of a neighbor in need.
