Welcome

Hi, I’m Holly. It’s nice to meet you.

I’m an interdisciplinary creative specializing in nonprofit communications, tapping into beauty and honesty to catalyze effective change. On this site, you’ll find samples of my writing, graphic design, and photography. I’ve worked in community development and for international NGOs, studied fine art in addition to communication, and lived in the Middle East: all experiences that have equipped me to use meaningful and artistic communication to amplify work for the common good.

Beyond my experience in the creative realm, I’m a seasoned project manager. This means I know how to see deliverables through from start to finish. From my experience working cross-culturally and across diverse-stakeholder groups, I know that processes work best when they account for diversity and everyone is offered a seat at the table. In the NGO space, how things are done is still just as important as an organization’s mission statement, and I’m interested in ensuring dignifying and ethical communications define the marketing strategies of good work. Effective NGO communications don’t exist only to drive revenue, but to shape ideas. It’s important that’s done intentionally, from an ideology that gives all people equal dignity and works to correct unjust power dynamics, not reinforce them.

I’d love to talk to you more about leveraging creative work for social good. Also, I love peanut butter and Pixar movies—we can chat about that too.
